Mountain Tennis Weekend

VAIL TENNIS WEEKEND

Thanks to everyone who attended in September 2010.

Next year’s event will take place in September 2011. The registration fee is $140 per Washington Park member. An $80.00 deposit is due at registration, to hold your spot, with the remaining $60.00 balance due by August 1st, 2011.

The $140.00 fee includes:

• Lodging from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning
• All meals provided (except one potluck dinner you will need to provide dish for)
• Court side breakfast and lunches
• Walk on tennis Friday night
• Pre-set tennis matches all day Saturday with your fellow Washington park players
• Walk on tennis Sunday morning
• Tennis balls for all of your matches
• Beverages, sponsored by Gov’s Park bar and grill
• And all the amenities of the club – which includes a relaxing hot tub!!

Summer Socials

Socials

Summer: The WPTC offers club socials during the summer season. These events are offered at a minimal cost to members and guests and include tennis courts, balls, drinks and food. They are a wonderful opportunity for members to gather together in a casual atmosphere and enjoy tennis and friendship. Another annual event, The Lakewood Challenge, pits Wash Park players against Lakewood players. The cup challenge locations rotates each year between the clubs.

Winter: Winter socials are held once a month (see dates below) from October to March at Colorado Athletic Club at Monaco in metro Denver. These events are potluck and include tennis, balls, drinks and prizes. They provide a great way to keep your tennis skills sharp over the winter months and keep in touch with old friends.

The format for winter Socials is doubles. All levels are welcome to play. The 2011/2012 winter social events are from 6pm to 9pm at Colorado Athletic Club at Monaco. The winter socials cost $16 for members or $21 for non-members. Breakfast, lunch, soda, beer, water, courts and balls are all provided!

Congress Park is located near the Denver Botanic Gardens. Access the tennis court parking lot by entering on Josephine (one way) and 9th Ave. Follow around and you’ll see the pool area and tennis courts.
