We're scheduling our first Summer Social of 2025! This event is open to all members first, then non-members.
Socials are a fun way to meet other club members. We'll play 40 minutes, break (eat, socialize), play another 40 minutes, repeat!
Sign up now for this limited space event!
Just in case, here's how we'll manage the possibility of bad weather...
Wash Park Tennis Club Tournament
Divisions offered include Women's and Men's Singles and Doubles.
This USTA sanctioned tournament is for players at NTRP levels 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5, and 55+ Age Group in these levels.
Held at Washington Park, August 28-September 1, 2025
Matches run:
from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Thursday and Friday;
from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Saturday and Sunday;
from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday.
This is a single elimination tournament. Matches will be played as two tiebreak sets with a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of a third set, if necessary.
We've added three new events; Men's 55+ singles at 3.0 and 3.5, and Women's 55+ doubles for 3.0/3.5 players.
The women's event is shown as 55+ 3.5 doubles but we will welcome 3.0 and 3.5 players in that group. We hope this will increase competition and allow us to select more players into the tournament. The tournament ranking points you'll receive for 55+ are the same as for the players in 18+ events.
We'll host a lunch for all players on Saturday, August 30 from about 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Courts are located at the south end of Wash Park on Louisiana Avenue. Spectators are welcome. They may want to bring a camp chair.

Wash Park Tennis Club is excited to get this year’s Vail Trip up and running! The well loved favorites are back : Chipotle Welcome Dinner on Friday, Hot Tub Happy Hour on Saturday, and Top Dog on Sunday!
We have listened to your feedback! Thank you to all who provided their thoughts in the surveys last summer! The two most common topics we are looking forward to improving are:
Providing a more robust breakfast on Saturday and Sunday as well as a hearty lunch on Saturday
Creating a better flow between tennis sessions by adding a short transition time to allow players to refill water bottles, use the restroom and move between courts
We strive to keep the trip as affordable as possible every year. The price increase reflects the overall increase in price to use all of the beautiful spaces at Vail Racket Club (clay and hard tennis courts, pickleball court, all of the Club House amenities, lunch patio space and comfortable condos) in addition to the overall increase in the cost of food and other supplies.
$295 pp
** $35 non-member fee will be applied to above prices for Guests
pp = Per Person
A: We request all of the twin beds that VRC has to offer. Twin beds are not common and most condos have switched to queen beds.
Q: What is a “queen shared bed”?
A: This room type is most commonly selected by couples or friends so the two individuals are sharing a queen bed together. If you are planning on selecting this room type, you will need to register WITH that individual. You will not share a bed with someone other than your selected friend or family.
Q: What is a shared condo?
A: A shared condo is a multi bedroom condo such as a two or three bedroom condo. Your individual room will be your selected room type but may be sharing a bathroom.
Q: What is a private condo?
A: A private condo is a one bedroom condo; you would have the entire space to yourself!
Q: What does the price include? Any additional fees?
A: There are NO additional fees! The price listed above includes a two nights stay in Vail, CO, dinner Friday night, breakfast Saturday and Sunday, lunch Saturday, drink coolers court side with both alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments, Hot Tub Happy hour, open access to tennis courts for drop in play Friday starting at noon, organized tennis matches all day Saturday, drop in pickle ball court, and Top Dog Sunday morning. Tennis balls will also be provided during the weekend.
Q: How will Saturday court time be organized?
A: Tennis will continue to be organized based on the player's NTRP rating and yes, every registrant is looked up so please register as you are currently rated! Requests to ‘play up’ cannot be accommodated due to the size of our group.
Same rules of registration will apply this year as last. Wash Park Tennis Club Members will have the first open window to register followed by Guests. If you are planning to reserve a shared bed, BOTH individuals must be members to register during the Members Only Window. Registrations that include guests during the Members Only Window will be deleted. To register for a shared bed you must register with that member!
